"A blissful break"
- I arrived at Shambala to find that there was only one other guest. Given that I was in need of some quiet time, this was perfect. I stayed for a week. During this time, I enjoyed a couple of massages and loved both the Balinese massage as well as the lulur body scrub. I also had a reflexology session. I didn't do any yoga nor any excursions. The setting of this resort is blissful. It was greatly relaxing being able to lie on a sun lounger and just watch the waves. The resort is lush with vegetation, which keeps things cool and shaded. There is no airconditioning in the rooms, but the fan does a decent job of keeping you cool at night. The wifi is not free and is quite costly per day R50 000. Although the staff were brilliant, it felt like they were taking advantage of there being few guests and I saw a few sitting or lying around doing nothing. Lastly, the drive from the airport takes about 3.5 hours depending on traffic. I would recommend Shambala for peace, calmness and relaxation.

- Great place really nice people could do with a fridge in the rooms though and tea making facilities. Also if its really hot which it was, the fan in the room doesn't do much air con would have been nice but better working fans would do. The food was really nice we had a great stay thanks.

"Deeply Appreciative and Restored"
- This is a true gem in Bali. So many details attended to. Such a sense of generosity given in abundance with many extras. The staff was among the most friendly and caring even for Bali. The only reason I gave less than a 10 for service was the Spa had one therapist that worked on me that was rushed and distracted during the treatment was not able to go deep at all. I did get another therapist who was great.Anonymous

"ein Paradies "
- Verbesserugsvorschlag : man könnte den Gästen mitteilen , dass es empfohlen wird(aus ökolog. Gründen ) das Resorteigene Shampoo/Duschgel /Seife zu nutzen . Dann könnten die Gäste ihr eigenes zu Hause lassen.Wäre auch viel praktischer und würde Gewicht (Koffer)sparen .
