Transport Information to City
Directions from Ercan Airport to Kyrenia
Upon leaving the exit of the airport, you will find a small round-about, take the second exit and follow the directions for Lefkosa (Please watch your speed as there are speed cameras, there are signs alerting you to this and advising of the speed limit). Again take the left exit and continue along the road heading towards Lefkosa. You will then come to a final roundabout (there will be a VW car showroom to the west). At this roundabout take the 3rd exit heading towards the mountains. Stay on this road until you reach Kyrenia.

DIRECTIONS FROM ERCAN AIRPORT TO THE LA HOTEL & RESORT
The LA Hotel & Resort is approx. 42 Km from Ercan International Airport in Lefkosa.
The hotel can arrange Airport Transfer’s via private taxi. (Local charge payable). Or there are always many taxis to be found outside the airport.
It is also possible to hire a car from the airport and drive yourself to the resort.

Again take the left exit and continue along the road heading towards Lefkosa. You will then come to a final roundabout (there will be a VW car showroom to the west). At this roundabout take the 3rd exit heading towards the mountains. Stay on this road until you reach Kyrenia. As you approach Kyrenia keep on the by-pass following the signs for Lapta. Follow this road and after passing 2 sets of traffic lights and 2 small roundabouts you will reach a large roundabout take the 1st left exit, continuing to head for Lapta. After approx 10 – 15 minutes you will reach the main hotel area in Lapta (known locally as the ‘Lapta strip’). The LA Hotel & Resort can be found at the far end on the left hand side.
DIRECTIONS FROM LARNACA AIRPORT TO THE LA HOTEL & RESORT.
The LA Hotel & Resort is approx. 80 Km from Larnaca Airport.
The hotel can arrange Airport Transfer’s via private taxi. (Local charge payable).
Upon leaving Larnaca Airport you reach a roundabout TURN LEFT heading towards Lefkosia (59km). At the nex roundabout continue straight ahead to Lefkosia. You will then reach another large roundabout with an overpass, take the RIGHT exit again towards Lefkosia (56km). You will now be on the main A3 dual carriageway. After travelling for approx. 12km take the LEFT fork signposted LARNAKA and LEFKOSIA (A2). At the next roundabout take the LEFT filter lane to Lefkosia. Continue on the dual carriageway and after a few kilometres the road merges with the A1, stay on this road and approx 44km from the airport there will be a football stadium on your left. You will see signs for Troodos/Strovolos and Keryneia. Take junction 3 for the B22/A9. You will come to a large roundabout decorated with large coloured spheres take the LEFT filter lane signposted Keryneia. Carry on at the traffic lights by the shopping centre and one more set of traffic lights and a roundabout following the signs for Lakatameia and Troodos. At the next roundabout (with the METRO store on your right continue straightahead for Keryneia and Troodos. Continue straight on at the next roundabout for Makedonitissa and Keryneia. At the T junction at the top of the hill (with a large church on your right) turn RIGHT towards Kioneli and Keryneia. Continue straightahead at the next roundabout. Take the LEFT turn at the traffic lights signposted Kioneli and Keryneia.
The border crossing point is ahead of you and you will need to stop before the portacabins and buy vehicle insurance for North Cyprus and also get your visa slip stamped.
From the border, continue to the first roundabout and continue on straight ahead. At the second roundabout turn LEFT towards Kyrenia/Girne, Gonyeli & Guzelyurt. Follow the dual carriageway to the next roundabout. Turn RIGHT at the roundabout. At the next large roundabout (with memorial statues) take the LEFT turn towards Kyrenia/Girne. From Kyrenia follow the directions to the LA Hotel & Resort as above.

There is a regular bus service operated by Kibhas from Ercan airport to Kyrenia.
