The LA Hotel & Resort is located on the seaside in the historic village of Lapta. The sandy beach is just 100m from the door. The village centre itself is just a 15 minute walk away. The main resort town of Kyrenia (Girne) is 14 km (9 miles) away and easily reached by local dolmus (bus service). In Kyrenia there are many bars, restaurants and shops.
The LA Hotel & Resort has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and is set in lush subtropical gardens. The hotel enjoys panoramic views of the Mediterranean, as well as breathtaking mountain scenery.
The LA Hotel & Resort has its own private sandy beach, across the coastal road, which is safely accessible via an underground walkway. The LA Hotel & resort offers 3 swimming pools choose from our large hotel courtyard freshwater pool, our beachside infinity pool or our indoor heated pool. Further facilities on offer to guests include air conditioning, a lobby area with a 24-hour reception desk, Free safety deposit boxes, currency exchange facility and small childs playground. Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel and public areas.

Surroundings and Attractions
The LA Hotel & Resort is located close to the village of Lapta. Lapta is one of the most picturesque towns in North Cyprus, set on several mountain terraces overlooking the sea. There are a few places of interest in the area including sites that date back to Roman times.
The ancient town of Lambousa is on the coast and served in Roman times as a port. There are still some remains of the old harbour walls and fish tanks.

Places to visit in Kyrenia include the old Kyrenia harbour. The horseshoe shaped harbour is surrounded by old Venetian houses, restaurants and bars. Kyrenia Castle is thought to have been originally built in the 9th Century to defend Kyrenia against Arab raids. Within the castle is the Shipwreck museum housing the remains of the oldest trading ship ever to be recovered from the sea. The ship sank around the year 300BC less than a mile from the coast and was raised from the sea bed by a team of experts in 1969.
Another popular place of interest is St Hilarion Castle, part of the legacy left behind by the crusaders. The views, for those brave enough to reach the summit are breathtaking!
To the East of Kyrenia is the historic village of Bellapais dominated by its majestic ancient Abbey. The name Bellapais comes from a combination of the French words for Beautiful and Peace, ‘Belle’ and ‘Pais’.

The LA Hotel & Resort Beach Bar offers a snack menu during the day, our competitively priced menu includes Salads, Sandwiches, Jacket Potatoes and Pizzas.
For guests staying on half board basis our evening meal is also served buffet style poolside in the Summer and in the hotel restaurant during the cooler winter months. The evenings menu is displayed daily in reception allowing non half board guests to join us for dinner at a very reasonable price. BBQ nights are held weekly with live entertainment during peak season.
