"Nice Hotel!"
- Villa Blanche is a very nice hotel, directly located in Mecidiyeköy. It is a 5 min walk to the next metro-station (Gayrettepe) oder 10 min to Mecidiyeköy. The hotel is situated on a side street and the room was very quite and on the first floor. We got a kind of "suite" and the room was huge with twin bed, big living room with a sofa and flat-TV, extra TV in the sleeping room, small kitchen with fridge and a bathroom. Unfortunately the shower was very oldschool and VERY uncomfortable- not recommended for older people. The rest of the room was perfect and was cleaned up everyday. You can rent a safe at the front desk- it would be easier to install small safes in the hotelroom.
The staff at the front desk was always very nice and helpful- thank you again! Next to the hotel, there is a turkish-cuisine-restaurant, which is really recommandable. The bill is a bit "complicating" and we were charged extra for the cuverts, which is unusual for a restaurant in Turkey.
Take care also for the bill at the hotel checkout! We were charged extra 10% because we paid with credit card! This fee was never mentioned before, not in any confirmation and even not at check in. We were in the hotel for a week so it was a nice "sum" we only paid for the charge. This should be changed or explained to guests before.
Next to the hotel, there is a big new shopping mall, Astoria. Inside you can find a migros supermarket, a lot of different shops and a modern cinema.

"Abenteuer Istanbul"
- Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,wir haben in Ihrem Hotel vom 15.12. -20.12.2011 gebucht. Es fing mit einem kleinen Abenteuer an, weil der Taxifahrer das Hotel nicht gekannt hatte. Jetzt kennt er den Weg. Ansonsten kann man die kleine Oase in der Großstadt sehr empfehlen. Die "Lärmbelästigung" aus dem Nebenzimmer wurde auch durch unsere Beschwerde vom Nachtdienst prompt besetitigt. Dafür möchten wir uns nochmal sehr bedanken.
Das landestypische Frühstück war reichlich und für jeden etwas dabei.
Man ist mit der Metro schnell in den Einkaufsmals und mit dem Taxi schnell in der Altstadt.

It s very good located and the room was perfect !
Besides, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We felt very comfortable.

"a good option in the area"
- villa blanche can be a good choise in the business area of istanbul. the staff was kind. in the city you can find cheaper hotels however villa blance is one of the best options in this location. Anonymous
