Hanania Hotel is a boutique hotel with an original art gallery theme located in the Christian Quarter of Old Damascus.
You can relax and enjoy your stay in this cozy traditional Damascene house located just 50 meters from St. Hanania Church (St. Ananias Church), considered one of the holiest areas in Old Damascus.
As you make your way to the hotel via Strait Street, you can follow in the footsteps of St. Ananias who walked down "the street called Straight" to restore sight to St. Paul who was blinded by a vision on his way to Damascus.
Be sure to take notice of all the interesting Oriental bazaars along the way.

All the rooms and courtyard of the hotel display the owner's private collection of original canvases by famous Syrian artists, charming antique furniture and handsome sculptures. Mounted shelves also adorn the walls with curious antiques, ancient tools and instruments, and other paraphernalia from times past.
The House was restored in a traditional way using only original stone, timber and furnishings to reflect the spirit and history of Old Damascus. The typically multi-storied house has five levels, including nine rooms on three floors, an ancient cellar converted into a dining area and, a mezzanine-level sauna.
The cellar dining area is naturally cool in the summer and heated for your comfort in the winter. The sauna includes a whirlpool bath and a massage table. There are also two rooftop terraces: one with a view of St. Hanania Church and another surrounded by walls for privacy. The courtyard features tables and chairs for dining or simply relaxing and unwinding over a cold or hot drink al fresco.
