- The hotel is a grand old building with large rooms and high ceilings, set in large gardens and therefore peaceful. Fittings (eg in the bathroom) were all modern and the whole place was spotlessly clean. It is family run and everyone was friendly and helpful even though their English was limited and our Italian is non-existent. There's a useful collection of dictionaries on reception!
We didn't have the half board option as there was only one menu choice. Breakfast was basic but adequate (tea, coffee, fresh rolls, jam, cake). However we paid a very reasonable price for the room and thought it was good value for money overall.
Bivigliano is a quiet place with just one other hotel/restaurant (closed in April when we were there) and a pizzeria just outside the village which we ate at and were happy with.
