"Sehr zentral, dadurch etwas laut"
- Viele der schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind ganz in der Nähe. Auch ÖPNV (Straßenbahn, Fähren,...)sind sehr schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für die Nacht sollte man als Geräuschempfindlicher mit Gegenmitteln vorsorgen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das dazugehörige Restaurant ist mit seinen vielen Außensitzmöglichkeiten gemütlich und nicht zuletzt wegen der guten Küche sehr gut besucht. Sheila

- I have stayed at Agan Hotel two years ago and found this to be a gem in Istanbul. I return ever since for long stays in the city whether I travel for work or for fun. I have advised Agan Hotel to a bunch of friends: from the luxury travelers to the solo adventurer and they all find it amazing. I often travel with my mom and although she is one of those fussy travelers, she now swears on Agan.The quality/price ratio is exceptional. If you stay for a week or more you get a one way free airport shuttle from/to Sabiha or Ataturk Airport. Amazing!
You get the most perfect location in the European side of Istanbul. You are a few minutes walk to the Bazaars, the Sultanahmet/Aya Sophia area, and the port. No need to take transportation while staying at the Agan Hotel.
The rooms and the hotel in general is very clean which will make you feel like home. Needless to mention the staff which is amazing. From the reservation manager to the receptionists and the waiters, they will welcome you with a smile and will be available anytime for any query. The wifi works perfect.
The breakfast in the morning is open from 7:30am to 11:00am if I am not wrong and has a variety of food from sweets, cakes, cheeses, sausages etc. The earlier you go the luckier you can get at getting the best food.. like anywhere else really!
I would recommend Agan to however change their orange juice which taste more or less like a medecine!
Apart from the orange juice, there isn't much to complain about, the restaurant food menu they offer is excellent. I would often have dinner outside, and don't get me wrong it is always nice to have food outside of your hotel but Agan has excellent grilled fish, meat and drinks at a reasonable price. So it is fair to give it a try knowing that as a resident you get 10% off!
Breakfast and dinner is the place where you also get to meet a lot of friendly travelers from all around the world and at all age.
In a nutshell, if you are going to Istanbul and you don't know where to go...do not hesitate and book this hotel, you won't regret it!

- I stayed for two nights on 27-28 October. I liked the location and service of the hotel. the room was clean. The wifi was good. The receptionist spoke english and was helpful. for the 55 Euros I paid for room per day, it was worthwhile.
