The Hotel Yacht Club *** is a small family-owned hotel that has been operating since 1993 by giving its best in order to make all its guests feel welcome. It is situated just a few steps away from the little touristic harbour of Marciana Marina on the island of Elba and therefore is very much indicated for all those who love the sea and the owners of pleasure boats who can find here all necessary nautical services for their boats.

The initial block of Hotel Capo Sud *** was built in 1955 by the Di Puccio family which still runs the hotel today. Since then the hotel has been enlarged and regularly restructured, but its discreet and friendly welcome has not changed. The hotel has fourty rooms in small cottages located in the large (10000 sqm) garden reaching our beach. These cottages are named Palm, Eucalyptus, Sun, Aleatico, Moon, Pinetree, Mimosa, Nightingale, Butterbush, Sea Urchin and Sage; their names were suggested to us by their peculiar position within the green mediterranean vegetation which surrounds the hotel. In the hotel's central building is the main restaurant: our kitchen prepares wholesome dishes and you may choose every day sea specialties. Our guests particularly appreciate the hotel's proximity to the sea. The three paths leading to the beach start from the terrace where breakfast is served, near the waterlilys pond. The small cottages with most of our rooms, all with a small balcony, are located in the vegetation near the paths leading to the beach. A few steps and you will reach one of the hotel's most beautiful places, the scenographic swimming pool facing the sea. Near the swimming pool are a bar and a small nice open-air restaurant which is active since mid June. Here, at lunch, you may eat a-la-carte or have a complete lunch at a good price. This is our beach: one of the most peaceful of Elba even during the summer months when the island is more crowded. The hotel's private beach with the beach umbrellas, deckchairs and sun beds in the sand area is reserved to our clients and free of charge. Adults and children can relax and swim safely in the swimming pool and in the sea under the surveillance of the lifeguards.We are in a very quiet location, in the middle of the vegetation right near the boundary of the "Natural Park of Tuscan Isles" which guarantees clean sea and unpolluted nature. Playing sports in such an environment is even more pleasant. The hotel has a synthetic lawn tennis court where you can play free of charge. Our guests can use without additional costs our bowl court. In Elba there are many routes where you can ride bicycles with wonderful views of the nature and the sea. On the beach our lifeguard may rent you canoes and pedalos. One hundred meters from our beach there is a sailing and windsurf school which is good both for beginners and experienced sailors. Finally, Capo Sud has agreements with a scuba diving school and with a manege for pleasant horse rides. For those interested in playing golf, the Acquabona golf course is just 8 km from us.Those less interested in sports and who want to escape the sun of the beach in the hottest hours of the day may borrow one of 1000 books from our library and sit in the shade of the garden. In the hotel's hall there is a piano and often our guests delight us with good music. We are located in a central position within Elba so that you can easily reach Elba's main towns with a few minutes ride by car: Capoliveri and its old village on the slopes of a hill, Portoferraio with the Medici's fortress and Napoleon's villas and Porto Azzurro and Marina di Campo with their elegant shops. Those who don't want to use the car for the whole holiday can take a nice walk in the surroundings such as the promontory of Cape Stella with the view of the sea on both sides of the walk.
