Percorrendo la via Chiantigiana in località Ugolino subito dopo il Golf Club Ugolino, ci appare un lungo viale che conduce in cima al poggio dove è situata l'imponente villa a cui fu dato il nome di Villa I Cipressi proprio in onore di questi alberi così forti e così fieri che circondano tutta la collina. Nel 1939 il Professor Carlo Arcangeli progettò ed edificò la villa che andava con le sue fondamenta ad appoggiarsi sopra una cava di pietra. Il Professor Arcangeli cercò, con lo stile, di rimanere il più fedele possibile a quello che era ed è lo stile classico delle tenute toscane. La villa all'interno si presenta finemente arredata e la sensazione è quella di grande familiarità , questo principalmente merito della Signora Monica figlia del Professor Arcangeli che, ereditata la casa insieme a suo marito Alessandro, hanno cercato di creare un ambiente confortevole, dando a i loro ospiti camere la cui vista si affaccia sull'immensa vallata, camere con ogni comfort e un'ottima cucina sia tipicamente toscana che internazionale, preparata amabilmente dalla signora Monica per far riscoprire ai suoi ospiti il piacere ormai dimenticato degli antichi sapori, e per finire una splendida piscina all'aperto per godere di un piacevole bagno rinfrescante nelle giornate estive. La zona dove è situata Villa I Cipressi ha delle caratteristiche climatiche molto piacevoli; il clima temperato e la natura rigogliosa creano delle sensazioni veramente uniche. Gli ambienti della villa, dal punto di vista architettonico, sono un bellissimo esempio dell'arte Toscana nelle costruzioni. L'uso del legno negli arredi e nella struttura della costruzione creano un ambiente molto caldo e confortevole, ideale per un soggiorno riposante e rilassante. Questo, misto alla familiarità degli arredi e alla simpatia dei gestori, è garanzia di giornate interessanti e spensierate. Una buona vacanza, da sempre, è sinonimo di una buona cucina. Il Palagetto is found in the heart of Florence, in "Oltrarno," next to one of the most characteristic and typical zones in the historical center, that of San Frediano. Even though our guesthouse is centrally located - at the foot of the hills of Monte Oliveto - it is comfortably tucked away from the traffic and street noise, facing an old, typical Florentine street, and bordering a park with a nearby villa that was once owned by nobility. A private parking area is included for the exclusive use of our guests. There are five large bedrooms available to our guests, some with private bathroom, and others that share a communal bathroom. All of the rooms are laid with stone fired or wooden floors, furnished in ancient Florentine style, with oriental rugs, unique draperies, Lcd color TV with satellite, a/c, information corner with brochures, tourist maps, etc.

The residence and B&B is located in a small village in the municipality of Greve in Chianti (7 km), and Florence (23km). Most of the rooms and apartments are built in a country house of 700. Each room and apartment has its own private entrance. At the back there are 7000 square meters of green area with tables, chairs and pool. Being in the countryside there are problems with parking which is then free. To visit Chianti, you need a transport (car, scooter, bike, whatever…), but the hotel-residence is well served by public transport connection with the city of Florence from Monday to Saturday inclusive. In the structure there is a restaurant where you can choose to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The hours are: - For breakfast: 08:00 to 10:30, - For lunch: 12:00-14:00, - For dinner: 19:00-21:30 (winter) 19:00 to 22:00 (summer).
