Villa Mala is a charming small holyday house with a sea view, situated in a century-old pine forest only 50 m away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the south coast of the Hvar island. Clean sea and wonderful Mediterranean vegetation offer nature lovers enjoyable holidays during all seasons.
Travelling to the south coast of Hvar is a special experience in itself. After driving through a 1400 m long tunnel, cut into a rocky mass, a stunning view opens to a steep hillside, grown with pine forests and green vineyards, and vast see, with Middle-Dalmatian islands Šćedro, Korčula, Sušac, Vis and the Pelješac half-island. |

Ambiance
 |
Villa Mala has been renovated in 2008. From 2009 we offer broadband Wi-Fi internet connection to our guests, and from 2010 a mooring for a boat.
Most of the people visit Zavala in summer, however, island Hvar is interesting the whole year through and offers much more then see and beaches. In spring everything gets green and blossoms; in autumn grapes and olives are picked; in winter rosemary blossoms, oranges, lemons and mandarins plump, sun shines and weather is sunny. It is great to escape to Hvar from snowy, rainy and foggy places. Since Villa Mala is heated in cold days, it offers very comfortable accommodation all year long. Book your term and make a reservation. |
Location

How to get here You can come to the Hvar island by a ferry-boat of the Jadrolinija company from Split to Stari Grad or from Drvenik to Sućuraj. Split has good highway, railway or airplane connections with European cities. You can also decide for a night coastal ferry-line from Rijeka and you'll arrive to the island in the morning. There is also a small airport for sport airplanes close to Stari Grad.
A narrow and winding, yet very picturesque road from Jelsa to Zavala leads you through the Pitve tunnel. When you arrive to Zavala, turn right on the first crossing and left in the next one. The easiest way to find the house is to follow the signs for the Skalinada house.
Since there in no public transportation to Zavala and taxi is quite expensive, we strongly recommend you to rent a car on the Hvar island in case you plan to arrive without it. Please, contact us for further information. |
