Tiliva Resort is Fijian owned. The proprietor having spent many years in Europe returned home to establish the resort in order to help his village – the village of Tiliva.
This remote eco resort is set in 18 acres of lush tropical gardens with its own secluded beachfront having magnificent views across the bay to the island of Ono. It is ten minutes away from the Astrolabe Reef and Waisomo Reserve, where diving in Kadavu is at its best.
The guest accommodation is self-contained bures (chalets) set among the trees for privacy but being just yards from the resort’s sandy beach. All the bures have full en suite facilities, ceiling fans, private verandas and 24 hour electricity.
Dining is in the restaurant or on the veranda of the main house. Guests can enjoy the freshly picked tropical fruit and native vegetables organically grown in our kitchen garden and from the gardens in the village. This coupled with fresh fish and local delicacies we offer the best of western and Fijian cuisine.
Guests can also help or watch their meals being cooked in the traditional lovo. There is a well stocked bar with cold beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. All meals are included in the cost of the stay.
All dietary requirements are catered for.
We care for the environment and are active in educating the villagers to be environmentally aware and responsible for this beautiful unspoilt island. Together in partnership with the village we are reserving parts of the two beachfronts to encourage the re-growth of the coral and breeding of clams.
We produce our own power on a generator and inverter system so the generator only runs for a few hours each day. |

Kadavu is Fiji’s fourth largest island with a very traditional Fijian culture. It is located approximately 45 miles south of the capital city, Suva. Widely acknowledged as one of Fiji’s most unspoilt islands, it has lush rainforests, the famed Kadavu Parrot as well as many other endemic birds.
This beautiful island is off the beaten track (with minimum development, no roads, no banks throughout the island) from Fiji’s mainstream tourist attractions and is an ideal location for a holiday offering diving, kayaking, snorkeling and spectacular scenery with a glimpse of everyday Fijian life.
Tiliva Resort is not a typical holiday destination. It offers unrivalled peace and tranquility in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is only a ten minute boat trip from the impressive Astrolabe Reef. The surrounding areas with their crystal clear waters are just waiting to be explored.
From Tiliva Resort you can experience the breathtaking corals and ocean life of the awe-inspiring Astrolabe and Solo Reefs, one of the natural wonders of the world. Alternatively the more relaxed guest can choose to snorkel, explore the fascinating coastline or simply relax on the beach. |
