- Stayed for 3 nights at The Rose of Suthep homestay. James and Mae greeted us at the airport with fresh jasmine necklaces and spent the rest of our time in Chiang Mai going above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. They are wonderful tour guides and will show you Chiang Mai from the eyes of locals. Our only recommendation is to speak (in detail) with them regarding prices and fees if you want to hire them to take you around the city so there are no surprises. Their prices are fair, but more than you may pay if you were to arrange a tour instead. We loved Chiang Mai and hope to return!
