- I immediately felt at home after I was given my key. Even though I stayed for only one night (slept for only 3 hours!), it was a really good experience. One of the best hostels in Australia!
I would like to personally thank Megan who recommended me great vegetarian options at the restaurant and was very cooperative in finding a transport for me for the next day to Port of Brisbane. One of the best staff in hospitality I have encountered in a long time.
Thanks also go to Emily who gave me a lot of info on the bus routes. Special thanks to Pheebee who made a delicious pumpkin pie and also to the chef, who is really friendly.
Matthew from the UK, who has been staying there for a while, has been really friendly to me too. I made my first friend there.
The backpackers were all great people and chilling out at the back was fantastic.
All in all, one night was not enough! I will come back again this year for a longer stay.

"A backpacker's tranquil getaway...."
- The location is SUPERB in the heart of beautiful Manly Harbour. It is only 35 min from the city, without the noise and fast pace of a city hostel environment. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The vibe of the hostel was relaxed, with a 'homely' feel. The big bonus is the FREE daily breakfast and FREE Sunday sailing. The only negative points was the water overflow in the shower, due to a blocked drain, but this was fixed promptly after it was reported the same day. Some of the bedding and loungeroom cushions are old and worn and need replacing. The'Creative Markets'on a Sunday, the mangrove boardwalk and the neighbouring Wynnum shops, are well worth checking out.

"Another great holiday at Manly."
- Once again a really great stay at the backpackers. Such friendly people and in a superb location. Thanks so much for making such a hassle free holiday.
