La Almunia del Valle is a "boutique hotel" certified with the "Q" for Spain Tourist Quality.
It’s located in the heart of Sierra Nevada Natural Park, in Granada, Monachil municipality, in a beautiful place highly esteemed due to its environmental importance.
Only 5 miles away from La Alhambra and Granada downtown, it’s a pleasure for the visitor to be able to rest in such a natural environment full of light and silence, surrounded by high peaks, and crossed by the river Monachil, from which the municipality took its name.
The owners themselves, José Manuel Plana and Patricia Merino, supervise every detail of the hotel, and the professional and kind staff provides guests with an unforgettable stay at La Almunia.
The hotel is a restored old Granadan country estate. It's a traditional kind of building in the area of Sierra Nevada, and it was built with great respect for the natural surroundings. The roofs, all of them plate and walkable, are among its main features. The terraced main building follows the different heights of the hill housing it, which gives us the sensation of beholding a magnificent show from our own private box.
