THE RESORT
The "Kenyan House" is a small hotel, located in a quiet residential area of
Malindi. The property is located 300 meters from the sea, near the Golf Club. The city Center is within walking distance, in only 10/15 minutes. The management is European with Kenyan staff: the best way to ensure high standards and at the same time maintain Kenya charm. The resort consists of eight double rooms (including a "Deluxe"and a "Junior Suite") with Air conditioning. The main building is split over two floors and has six bedrooms and two very characteristic patios overlooking the garden where the Guest House ( consisting of two bedrooms) is located. The large rooms (about 25 square meters) are all elegantly furnished in colonial style with traditional wooden furniture made by local artisans and beds equipped with mosquito nets. Every room offers a hairdryer and two fluffy African design bathrobes. You can request an additional comfortable bed for families of three.
RELAXATION AND CATERING
For use in your free time there are a stereo, satellite TV and a large film library free of charge at your disposal. For moments of relax, there is a large garden with swimming pool
and verandas with comfortable sofas from where breakfast is served. Don’t miss the most fascinating moment of the day: when dinner is served poolside below the typical African evening sky full of stars.
There is a wide variety of food which is carefully prepared with attention being paid to detail to tempt you into trying the typical local cuisine. All the freshest ingredients are purchased daily at Malindi market : fish, vegetables and fruit are always fresh. The restaurant is reserved exclusively for guests of the Kenyan House.
We offer our guests a swimming pool equipped with comfortable wooden sun-beds and mattresses , beach towels and a well-kept garden with areas of relax and intimacy where you can read, listen to music or . ... just do nothing.
BEACHES
We can offer you the best beaches along the coast. Including the beautiful and interesting Oasis beach only 300 meters away (5 minutes on foot) It is very long and very deep, full of dunes and perfect to take amazing walks or horse-rides. 5 km away, there are the beautiful beaches of the "Marine Park". Only 18 km away are the dazzling beaches of Watamu with unforgettable inlets and islands. The Maiungu beaches,( paradise forgotten by God), are only 7 away and The Golden Beach is 15 kilometers away.
