Bisibee Guest House : Additional Information

Jo-Anne, Alan and Ruark welcome you to stay with them at Bisibee Guest House in Oudtshoorn. Bisibee Guest House is situated in one of the well established areas of Oudtshoorn and is within walking distance of the town centre – about 1.5 km.

Alan and Jo-Anne spent 10 years doing charter work all over the Caribbean. As a team, they are well qualified in the service industry and hope to provide you with a wonderful experience and lovely memories of the Klein Karoo.

Bisibee provides a very convenient stop-over for people travelling from Cape Town, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Beaufort West, Port Elizabeth and Addo Elephant Park. Oudtshoorn forms part of the Klein Karoo and acts as a portal for the well renowned Swartberg Pass, Hell and Great Karoo as well as the Garden Route along the R62.

A nice day can be spent visiting the Rus en Vrede Waterfall, Cango Caves, Swartberg, Prince Albert Hamlet, Meiringspoort and De Rust, before returning to Oudtshoorn.

Locally, one can visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch, Ostrich Farms, TBI Adventures (Quad biking, abseiling, caving, hiking and canoeing).

Those of you who like scenic drives with motorbikes, 4X4 vehicles or even standard cars will find that Oudtshoorn provides a lovely selection. We will be more than willing to provide details and relevant information.

Bisibee Guest House has 10 en-suite rooms, five of which are situated in the colonial house that was built in 1929. Bisibee has sufficient secure parking and a lovely well established garden where one can relax after a day of touring or business. We can provide beer and wine to help.

Room 1 - Twin Singles En-Suite

Two single beds with en-suite shower/toilet with towels and soaps. Ceiling fan for summer and wall heater for winter. Coffee, tea etc available in room. There must be at least one adult per room when making reservations for children unless organised with the establishment.

Room 2 - Queen En-Suite

Nice large en-suite room with own entrance to patio. At least one adult must accompany a child when reserving a room for children unless discussed otherwise with the establishment.

Room 3 - Queen Bed En-suite

Nice large en-suite room with day couch. This family room may only have a maximum of two adults. The day couch can accommodate a child up to the age of 12. At least one adult must accompany a child when when reserving this room for children.
Children may be alone in a room if approved by Bisibee management before arrival.

Room 4 - Double En-suite

Nice size room (12 sq m) with adjacent dressing area ( 4 sq m) and en-suite bathroom. At least one adult must accompany a child when making reserevations for children in this room. Children may be alone in a room if this has been approved by Bisibee management prior to arrival. Ideal to combine this room with room 3 if travelling as a family. A passage door can be used to control access to room 4 and 3.

This rather nice large en-suite room has a double bed with a double bunk and is ideal for a family of four travelling together. All children must be accompanied by at least one adult when reserving this room. Access to outside barbecue with covered table. Two entrances. Children may be alone in a room if approved by Bisibee management before arrival.

This is a nice self-catering unit situated in a quiet area of our garden. It has an outside barbecue with patio, chairs and table. This is an ideal room to combine with room 8 if travelling in a group or with a family. Room 7 & 8 have shared secure parking. Children may be alone in a room if approved by Bisibee management before arrival.
