"Bastion B&B"

- We arrived in Athlone at 1pm and although our room was not ready the lady covering for the owners was more than accommodating. She was happy to show us around the property and was most hospitable. The room we booked was the loft room and was absolutely gorgeous. The décor and furnishings were simple and quirky, just to our taste and so much so we are planning a return visit.

"Fantastic Stay"

- We stayed in May 2012 for a local wedding. We had no problems with the studio and enjoyed the self service apartment. We would stay here again due it's price and central location in town. It is only a five minute walk from the train station.

- Very pleasant and helpful, lots of interesting decor and books. Continental breakfast a nice change after too many fry-ups! Only people it might not suit are the tall; there's some low ceilings.

"Great place to stay!"

- We had a great stay at the Bastiin B&B and we would definitely recommend it. Lovely welcome on arrival,the room was lovely and clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast
the next morning which had a great selection. Perfect location, only a short walk to the centre. We will return again!!
