"Peaceful relaxed atmosphere "

- A really nice stay if only for one night. Welcoming relaxing, very clean with an eclectic collection of antiques and memorabilia throughout. A great sitting room with cosy sofas amazing plants and a library. Definitely a unique B&B well wort a try and for sure I'd stay here again.

"Bastion B&B"

- We arrived in Athlone at 1pm and although our room was not ready the lady covering for the owners was more than accommodating. She was happy to show us around the property and was most hospitable. The room we booked was the loft room and was absolutely gorgeous. The décor and furnishings were simple and quirky, just to our taste and so much so we are planning a return visit.

"Thank you!!"

- Thank you, Anthony, for such a wonderful stay. Bastion was just what I was looking for - friendly, stylish (yet simple), excellent location and great value for money!

I loved the fact that after a warm welcome, we were left to ourselves, but always new there was someone around should we have any questions.

I would recommend Bastion B&B to anyone visiting Athlone..

"Perfect!"

- What a great discovery! We stayed two nights in the Loft room, very spacious for three people. The Bastion is very eclectic with lots of character. Vinnie and Anthony made us feel instantly welcome. The breakfast was quite a feast with a great selection of fruit, breads, cheeses, yogurt and cereal...more than we could possibly enjoy. Thank you for a fantastic weekend!
